Get an up-close look at some incredible birds of prey during this special Catskill Center program in collaboration with Ravensbeard Wildlife Center!
Date: October 10, 2026
Time: 1:00 - 2:00 PM
Location: The Catskills Visitor Center
Ravensbeard Wildlife Center rescues and rehabilitates injured and orphaned birds, with the goal of returning them to the wild whenever possible. Birds that cannot be released may become wildlife ambassadors, helping people learn more about their species and the importance of protecting the natural world.
During this one-hour program, Ravensbeard will introduce us to four live bird ambassadors: an Eastern Screech Owl, Barred Owl, American Kestrel, and Eurasian Eagle Owl—the second-largest owl species in the world!
Learn about each bird’s natural history, hear the stories of how they came to Ravensbeard, and discover simple actions we can all take to help birds and other wildlife thrive.
Join us for a memorable afternoon and a rare opportunity to see these remarkable birds up close while learning about the important work of wildlife rehabilitation and conservation.
This is a free event with a suggested donation of $10.
Please Note: Pets are not permitted at Catskill Center programs and events with the exception of trained service animals assisting their handlers.
