Animal Tracking at Colgate Lake

Have you ever wondered what animal left those neat tacks in the snow or mud? Now is your chance to find out! Avid tracker Greg Perantoni will lead an animal tracking hike/snowshoe around Colgate Lake in the Town of Jewett, co-hosted by The Catskill Center for Conservation and Development and the Mountain Top Arboretum. Easy hike, flat and less than one mile. Follow up with hot soup, coffee, and hot chocolate at the Arboretum. Bring lunch, water, layered warm clothes, boots, and snowshoes if necessary. Meet at 10 AM, Saturday, January 20th, at the Colgate lake parking area, on Greene County Route 78 (aka Colgate Lake Road), which is off of Greene County Route 23C, approximately 3 miles north of Tannersville.
