"Catskill Mountain Locals" screening at The Catskill Center

In his uniquely comic-yet-serious style, local filmmaker Roger Bobley examines the joys, gripes, fears, reminiscences, activities, and predictions of the long-time residents of the Catskill Mountains. Juxtaposing a series of candid, eye-opening interviews that range from provocative to funny, disturbing to heart-warming, Bobley examines the problems and changes that locals are experiencing as the result of the influx of outsiders from the Metropolitan New York area. The film is an important one, for it documents the thoughts and feelings of rural folk whose lifestyles may soon be history. Join us for this free screening Friday, September 15th - 7 PM at The Catskill Center, Route 28 Arkville, NY. The Catskill Center is a non-profit, membership organization working to foster both healthy ecosystems and vibrant communities in the Catskills.
