Ravensbeard Wildlife Center to visits Arkville

Please come meet Ellen Kalish of Ravensbeard Wildlife Center as she tells us all about wildlife rehabilitation, the do’s and don’ts of animal rescue, the relationships between predators and prey, and shares many of the success stories of rescued animals that she has reintroduced to the wild. Joining Ellen will be a very special guest named Gaia. Gaia is a rescued Peregrine Falcon who now enjoys helping Ellen as an educational bird. Ellen is a licensed wildlife rehabilitator and founder of Ravensbeard Wildlife Center in Saugerties. We will hold the lecture on the front lawn of The Catskill Center (Rte. 28 Arkville) on Sunday, August 27th at 10am. The Catskill Center is a non-profit, membership organization working to foster both healthy ecosystems and vibrant communities in the Catskills. For more information please visit their website at www.catskillcenter.org or call (845) 586-2611.
