Catskill Mountain Maple Farm

Join Catskill Center staff and fellow members at Catskill Mountain Maple in DeLancey as owner/operator Tom Kaufman hosts a tour of his farm. In addition to Maple Syrup production, some other things we will see at this 75 acre beef and maple farm with 40 forested acres are: the implementation of a Whole Farm Plan for watershed protection, including the planting of a riparian forest buffer on the streamside acres; fencing to keep livestock from erosion-sensitive areas; and the development of spring sources to water the herd away from the stream. Sunday, March 19 - 10AM-Noon. Call (845) 586-2611 to register and get directions.
