The Catskill Center for Conservation and Development is proud to announce the election of three new members to its Board of Directors. Ettore (Jim) F. Infante is a former Dean of the College of Arts and Science and Professor of Mathematics at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, as well as a former Professor of Mathematics and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Jim currently serves as the secretary for The Friends of the Catskill Interpretive Center. He resides in Phoenicia and Hastings-on-Hudson, New York.
Nathaniel G. Gillespie worked as a Seasonal Fisheries Biologist in the Delaware River Program Office of The Nature Conservancy and served as the Catskills Coordinator for Trout Unlimited. Nat was a graduate student instructor for the University of Michigan's school of Natural Resources & Environment.
Thomas Poelker is one of the original incorporators and current chairman of the Community of Windham Foundation and also serves on the Town of Windham Planning Board, Greene County Leadership Council, and is vice president of the volunteer Windham Fire Department. Tom attended St. John's University in New York and also served in the United States Marine Corps. His is a self-employed builder and sales representative for Alta Log Homes.
