How to Apply:
If you are interested in attending the Watershed Forestry Institute for Teachers you must download (or request it be sent to you by mail) the application and return it to us by MAY 15th. Please mail (or email) the completed application to:

If you have trouble downloading the application in PDF format, please contact Julia Goren at 845.586.2611 or by email jgoren@catskillcenter.org.

Before applying, please be sure that you are eligible. To be eligible, you MUST be a current K-12 teacher in a school district in the East or West-of-Hudson NYC Watershed or in New York City (see below). If you are not sure that you are eligible, please call or email Julia Goren, Regional Educator at 845.586.2611 or jgoren@catskillcenter.org.

Public school districts located within the West-of-Hudson NYC Watershed include:
  • Delaware County - Andes, Charlotte Valley, Delaware Academy, Deposit, Downsville, Franklin, Margaretville, Roxbury, Sidney, South Kortright, Stamford, and Walton.
  • Greene County - Hunter-Tannersville, and Windham-Ashland-Jewett.
  • Schoharie County - Gilboa-Conesville, and Jefferson.
  • Sullivan County - Fallsburg, Liberty, and Tri-Valley.
  • Ulster County - Ellenville, Zena and E.C. Meyer Elementary (Kingston schools), and Onteora.


Private schools located within the West-of-Hudson NYC Watershed include:
Christ Community Church School, St. Peter's Regional, School of the New Moon, and the Woodstock Day School.

Teachers at all public and private schools located within the Croton Watershed, Manhattan, Queens, Bronx, Staten Island, and Brooklyn are eligible to apply.

Remember, there is a limit of only 20 participants, so get your application in today!
