Directions to the Trailheads

Trailhead on Ulster County Route 40
(Red-blazed Phoenicia Trail)

From State Route 28 - Proceed to hamlet of Phoenicia, located east of Shandaken and west of Mount Tremper. Turn into the hamlet of Phoenicia. Head east through the hamlet, and follow Ulster County Route 40 out of town. Proceed about 1.5 miles to reach the trailhead and parking area on the left side of the road.

From Woodstock - Follow State Route 212 (west) out of Woodstock, and continue until you reach Mount Tremper. At the four-way intersection, turn right on Ulster County Route 40. Proceed about 2.5 miles, and the trailhead and parking area are on the right.

Trailhead on Jessup Road
(Blue-blazed Willow Trail)

From State Route 28 - Proceed to hamlet of Mount Tremper, located east of Phoenicia and west of Boiceville. Turn onto State Route 212 towards Woodstock. In the hamlet of Willow, turn left onto Van Wagner Road, and left again onto Jessup Road. Trailhead is located along Jessup Road. Please be aware that parking is very limited here.

From Woodstock - Follow State Route 212 (west) out of Woodstock, and continue until you reach the hamlet of Willow. In Willow, turn right onto Van Wagner Road, and then left onto Jessup Road. Trailhead is located along Jessup Road. Please be aware that parking is very limited here.
