WELCOME TO THE CATSKILL CENTERWe are a non-profit organization that preserves the natural resources, scenic beauty, rural character and cultural heritage of the Catskills, while building a sound and sustainable economic future for our communities. WHAT DO WE DO?We work with national and international environmental organizations, land trusts, citizens, NGO's and the State and City of New York to conserve open space and protect important ecosystems including the largest unfiltered water supply in the country, New York City's Watershed in the Catskill Mountains. At the same time, we work with the villages and hamlets of the Catskills on regional and land use planning, Main Street revitalization, historic preservation and sustainable development. We also encourage and support artists of all media types through our art gallery and Artist-in-Residence program, run a wide variety of education programs and host numerous recreational and cultural events throughout the year.
